History of the New York City Chapter

The New York City Chapter of the National Football Foundation is one of the most dynamic chapters n the National Football Foundation’s Network of some 140 Chapter nationwide. The chapter is led by its Board of Directors, which is comprised of an accomplished and well-respected group of leaders from the worlds of finance, business, education and sport. The prestigious New York Athletic Club (NYAC) is home to the New York City Chapter and the National Football Foundation’s William V. Campbell Trophy which is displayed with distinction in the club’s Hall of Fame.

Founded in 1947 with early leadership from General Douglas MacArthur, legendary Army coach Earl "Red" Blaik and immortal journalist Grantland Rice, the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame is a non-profit educational organization that runs programs designed to use the power of amateur football in developing academic excellence, citizenship and athletic achievement in young people.
